The Director of Corporate Facilities maintains and supervises the maintenance operations for our entire portfolio of hotels. Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure that all properties maintain a schedule of ongoing preventative maintenance for guestrooms, meeting rooms, public space, back of the house spaces, kitchens and all hotel equipment. This is to be tracked using our digital service optimization platform. 
  • Review and audit work orders for completion, accuracy, and quality of work. 
  • Analyze maintenance trends and develop proactive plan to address concerns. 
  • Assess buildings’ conditions and make recommendations for long term capital improvements.
  • Oversee and implement an Emergency Weather Response Plan, with specific attention to a Tropical Storm Management Plan that accounts for safety and compliments the operations and schedule of USF. 
  • Facilitate the hiring and training of maintenance managers and team members across the portfolio. 
  • Demonstrate responsiveness to feedback with performance and accountability solutions. 
  • Maintain contracts with outside maintenance vendors of all locations.
  • Oversee each location’s inventory and purchasing.  
  • Aid in the creation and fiscal oversight of annual maintenance budget.  
  • Follow all company and safety procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Five years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role, preferably in hospitality. 
  • Must have experience in managing a team.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with guests and staff. 
  • Knowledge in OSHA regulations, National, State and Local building regulations and codes, equipment operations and preventive maintenance procedures. 
  • Extensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, painting, drywalling, carpeting repair, safety operating systems. 
  • This position will be based out of our Florida office and will travel to our portfolio to oversee maintenance operations. Must be available for weekly travel. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays. 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Requires frequent and sustained standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching, climbing, and kneeling throughout the shift.
  • Manual dexterity to safely and efficiently operate tools, maintenance equipment, computers, phones, and tablets.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces, elevated areas, or outdoor environments as needed.
  • Must be able to visually inspect work areas and systems for functionality, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Exposure to a variety of environmental conditions including hot and cold temperatures, outdoor weather, confined spaces, and noisy or dusty environments
